„In the Garden”

The painting is distinguished by a well-harmonized chromatic richness, with ample touches and lots of light, materialized in idyllic landscapes, which express the joy and serenity of life. It presents the intellectual image of a family life, with the peace of a fulfilled mother-daughter relationship, reunited in the sphere of knowledge. The landscape is less contoured, the emphasis being placed, through short touches and the juxtaposition of the pigments, on the image of the two female characters and their communion with nature. The chromatic accentuates the impression of harmony and silent joy between the two female characters, located centrally in the composition, the nuances of the garden being found in their delicate and diaphanous attire. Impressionist and post-impressionist influences are found in the brushstroke and in the fine lines that depict the delicate faces of the two characters, which convey at the same time tenderness and freshness and which integrate perfectly into the natural environment of a garden, in the light of a quiet afternoon.
